Windows 10: task bar

my task bar keeps on growing wider ive unlocked the auto lock task bar and same for the hade the task bar automatically none of these are now applied but on my system there is no box to click applies or ok once ive locked my task bar etc and I did this the other day and when I turned my laptop on today the task bar was about 1.5 inches again and I have to move it around from top to bottom just to get it to shrink back to normal what else can I do to resolve this issue ive had to choose the gaming on windows 10 as a category as there isn't a category for task bar questions, and one needs to be added in so that we can get our questions to the right area or technical advisor many thx in advance

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

how to successfully pin files to the task bar

I use to be able to drag and drop files onto the task bar and they would reside withing the file list for that program. Since the recent upgrade it appears that I am not able to pin a file to the program on the task bar. Suggestions?
