Windows 10: Task Bar

Discus and support Task Bar in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I have 2 screens in "Extended" mode Screen 1 - BENQ 32" UHD Screen 2 - LG 32" HD For Logistical reasons I have my main work, documents, e-mail,...     Task Bar


    I have 2 screens in "Extended" mode

    Screen 1 - BENQ 32" UHD

    Screen 2 - LG 32" HD


    For Logistical reasons I have my main work, documents, e-mail, etc. on Screen 2 and use Screen 1 for CAD & detail drawings work. I have them set up this way because some drawing type apps default to the main screen so this is NOT about changing swapping screen 1 & screen 2


    "Settings" states it is possible to have the Task Bar on Screen 1 & Screen 2 however; in reality this appears to be only partially true

    For ease of viewing I'll detail the area of difference

    As will be seen they are quite different, is this by design, or an error?


    If it is by design, then I ask why? In what way is that consistent with "Show taskbar on all displays" setting?


    If it is an error, when can we expect it to be resolved?

    Cannot modify Task Bar settings

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

    • Right click on the Task Bar.
    • Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

    • Are you unable to view the task bar on your system?

    Task Bar

    how to successfully pin files to the task bar

    I use to be able to drag and drop files onto the task bar and they would reside withing the file list for that program. Since the recent upgrade it appears that I am not able to pin a file to the program on the task bar. Suggestions?
