Windows 10: Task Manager and Uninstaller closes immediately

Hello i seem to have a problem with my computer because my task manager and uninstaller seems to close immediately. I tried finding several threads that are related to my problem but it seems that the problem still continues. I went to regedit/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Policies in hopes of fixing the task manager problem and here is what it says:


Name Type. Data

abdefault. REG_SZ. value not set


That seems to be the only thing in there. Prior to my problem I had caught a virus in my computer, it was a trojan virus and some bitcoin miner something. i have successfully removed them all but now my problem is this. What can I do to solve this problem? Thank you

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

Any suggestions?

Program will not fully uninstall

One possible reason why you can't uninstall this program is because it's still running. You can have it stopped first (from running) before uninstalling. See the steps below on how to do so:

• Press the Windows key and type in "task manager"
• Click on Task Manager and go to the Processes tab.
• Look for the app you want to uninstall. Right-click on it and tick on
  End task.
• After doing this so, try to uninstall the app.
