Windows 10: Task manager cpu speed

Discus and support Task manager cpu speed in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; So my task manager shows 1.50 ghz speed, even if i open a ton of apps, its usually below that but when i try to max it out it only caps at 1.5 ghz.     So my task manager shows 1.50 ghz speed, even if i open a ton of apps, its usually below that but when i try to max it out it only caps at 1.5 ghz. And it shows the max seed is 1.8 ghz yet i can go more than 5 ghz,My pc specsTask manager cpu speed :Dell inspiron 14 5410, i7 1196G7. 12 gb ram with 2.9 ghz to 5 ghz speed and intel iris xe graphics. PLS REPLY ASAP

    I understand your concern and will be glad to help you.

    Task Manager displays the programs, processes, and services that are currently running on your computer.

    On the CPU section of the Performance tab, the actual CPU is now specifically identified in detail with the brand, the model number, the speed, as well as the number of sockets, cores, and logical processors.

    Other third party performance monitor specifies the utilization and speed of the processor using different algorithms which differs from Windows Task Manager computations.

    In addition, different algorithms are used to measure performance. For example, the algorithm used by Intel in its branded maximum speed is different than the algorithm used by Windows Task Manager to directly measure the speed of the CPU. You can use other
    processor utilities, such as the Intel Processor Identification Utility or CPU-Z, for additional processor speed measurements.

    That is called SpeedStep. Your maximum speed is 2,41 GHz, as shown on your screenshot.
    You can run some CPU demanding task, like a video and your CPU speed should increase.
    If you want your CPU to run at max all the time, you can set min processor state to 100%.
