Windows 10: Task Manager malfunctioning and forgetting settings

The Task Manager used to work right, but recently it always opens in "less details" mode after a PC reboot, and I can no longer enable or disable Startup programs. Any changes I do in the Startup tab get reset after rebooting my PC, so I'm permanently stuck with the current startup configuration. It's driving me nuts.

No restart button in task manager

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

 

Task Manager 'Details' Malfunctioning

I got my windows updated with the Insider Preview. The version now is the newest: 20251.1(with FE). The task manager malfunctions as: Once I open the task manager and click 'Details', the task manager stops for a short while(with no display) and then
crashes. In fact it also acts like this in the last version. I tried again for tens of times, and it acts over and over again. I'd like to ask about how to set a process to run in single-affinity mode without using task manager, or how to solve the task manager
problem.
