Windows 10: Task Manager Process tab is empty

I have been having this problem for at least the last year. Task Manager shows information on all tabs *except* the process tab which is empty. I have run SFC and DISM scanhealth and restorehealth in that order and it will work on the next reboot for one to two days. It varies a little and I have not been able to pinpoint what if anything is causing it to go blank. I have tried keeping logs of what I run after getting it to work and there is nothing common to the logs between failures. This has been happening since the 1709 update. I have tried to ask this question before and they have been locked with the only usable reply being the one that told me to use SFC and DISM (the reply made it seem that should be a permanent fix although it hasn't for me). It there anyone who has had this problem and managed to permanently fix it?

The processes tab of task manager is blank

In recent months, the processes tab of task manager is blank, while all other tabs of task manager have no problem. The process tab is normal when you first open task manager after an OS-restart. But after you close task manager and open it a second time,
the process tab is blank and keeps blank all the time till next OS-start.

To troubleshoot the issue with your Task Manager, I suggest you to run the
System File Checker to check if there's a broken Windows component in your PC.

To run System File Checker, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + X keys.
• Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
• Copy and paste the command below:
  
  SFC /scannow
• Hit Enter to execute the command. It may take a few minutes to complete.
  
  If you find Verification 100% complete, click X to close the Command Prompt.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

Task Manager Processes tab completely blank

I've seen other posts of users having this issue.

In minimal view, the task manager shows nothing other than "There are no running apps".

When I click "More details", I get the full view, but the Processes tab shows no processes. All the other tabs are working as expected, the problem is only with the Processes tab.

If I reboot the PC, the task manager works fine at first. But later it becomes blank again.

Every thread has someone suggesting SFC and DISM to repair Windows image.

I tried all of them. No result.

This has been happening ever since Fall Creators update, on two different computers. One computer is brand new, was clean from factory.

Any suggestions?
