    Hi,I am having very strange issue with Task Scheduler.I can create run or delete scheduled stasks, but I cannot edit them.Whatever edit to a task my task results in error 2147750680.For example, change only the description:I get same error also when I try to import task xml.I tried also with powershell, but there I got other error which I don't understand.Set-ScheduledTask : The task XML contains a value which is incorrectly formatted or out of range. 44,4:Task: At line:1 char:9 + $task Set-ScheduledTask + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: PS_Schedu

    Error 2147750680 indicates that the task scheduler could not start or access the task due to a security-related issue.

    I noticed that this error seems to have occurred after you did not enter your password correctly. You may be asked to enter a user account password or other administrator password to make changes to scheduled tasks.

    Are you using a personal device or an add-domain company device?

    If this is a personal device, usually you will see a prompt for the administrator account name, please carefully recall and use the correct password.

    However, if the device is a company device, the administrator account password is usually required, and the common employee account does not have the operation permission. Therefore, entering the common account password cannot pass the verification.

    Task Scheduler Error


    When I access Task Scheduler, an error appears that says SqmUpload_S-1-5-21......... no longer exists. To see the current tasks, click Refresh. However, the same message appears when I click Refresh. I can close the message and it appears the Task Scheduler is OK. A person on the Microsoft boards gave me several steps to follow beginning with booting into Safe Mode. However, I received a message when I accessed Task Scheduler that it doesn't function in Safe Mode.
    I did not feel safe following their additional suggestions at that point as I am not that adept at such endeavors. Has anyone else encountered this error and/or found a simple solution? I feel it is caused by some remnant leftover from Windows 7 during the upgrade but this is pure conjecture on my behalf.

    Hi there,

    Please try exporting the task to an XML file, and delete the task in Task Scheduler.

    Edit the XML file and change the <DaysOfWeek> and the other parameters as desired, save the XML file, and import it via Task Scheduler.

    Does that workaround help?
