    I have been using Task Scheduler an lot lately where as for the first 22 years I avoided it. Yes, I was using PC's before Windows was around. I find it challenging but also like a gaming in a way.My issue is every time I open it I have to adjust the columns and sidebar options, it's a tad, just a tad frustrating after a dozen times or so as I am comparing at times 2 pc's side by side, restarting, etc.Is there anyway, I'm not afraid of a registry hack; done many, to make it keep it's GUI settings that I select for it each time.Thanks a gazillion. It's a real nuisance. jack ":-Dx

    Scheduled task triggered at wrong time

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, we would need some information.

    • What is the version and build of you operating system? In the
      Search box, type
      winver to get this info.

    I would suggest you to delete the previous task and recreate the task Scheduler and check the run time.

    I suggest you to clear the task from Task Scheduler using the below steps and check if the issue still persists.

    Steps:-

    • Type Task Scheduler on Search bar.
    • Click on Task Scheduler Library.
    • Select the particular task and right click on it.
    • Select End.

    Cannot schedule a task with Task Scheduler - error 2147942403

    Hi,

    I suggest you to check the below settings and check fi it helps.

    • In task scheduler, click on the scheduled job properties > then settings.
    • In the last listed option: "If the task is already running, the following rule applies:"
    • Select "Stop the existing instance" from the drop down list.
    • Save and Exit. Then check whether the task is running or not.
