    Task Scheduler Question


    One of my desktops will not let me schedule a task using my Microsoft Account. Instead, it shows the Desktop account assigned under System Name in System Information. I am signed in with MS Account and it is the ONLY user showing under Control Panel Users, but Task Scheduler thinks the desktop account controls it. I want to set up a startup for SpeedFan, but I can't due to this permission situation. What have I done incorrectly - the other desktop doesn't have the problem and allows me to use Microsoft Account user to make scheduled tasks. Any suggestions to overcome this? Thanks!

    Update: I found the solution - there is a place in Task Scheduler to change user - updated that all is well now.

    Awesome, I've just found the Task Scheduler through Computer Management > System Tools > Task Scheduler.

    So I guess the only other question is whether it's possible to view the "Log on as" user/account for a particular service.

    Well - there was NOTHING in your first post that said "I've tried to set a Task in Task Scheduler but it doesn't work" was there?
