    Task Scheduler says task complete, but process didn't run


    I have a task set up in the Task Scheduler to run whether the user is logged in or not. The task runs twice a day. The actions on it are to run various .bat files. One of those .bat files runs a python script and one runs a specific piece of software that will update SQL tables. When I look at the history for the task, it says that the task ran successfully, but it appears that neither .bat file ran. The python script is supposed to create two .csv files and that isn't happening. When I run the .bat files manually, they work as expected. Why wouldn't they run via the Task Scheduler? Wh

    • Have you tried recreating the task? If so, are you getting the same issue?
    • Have you tried creating a new task?

    • Is this your first time to encounter this issue? If so, did you make any changes to your computer's configuration prior to this?
    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • Can you also please confirm the current build of your Windows 10?

    Meanwhile, I suggest that you try starting the Task Scheduler through command line. To do so, please follow these steps:

    • Open Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type this net start task scheduler and hit Enter.
