Windows 10: Task scheduler

Discus and support Task scheduler in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I have created a task that will run once every night 01:00 on my Windows machine. It worked OK before upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Now it doesn't.... Discussion in 'Windows 10 Support' started by zkab, Jan 17, 2017.

    Task scheduler


    I have created a task that will run once every night 01:00 on my Windows machine.
    It worked OK before upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.
    Now it doesn't.
    When I try to run it manually from Task Scheduler following error occurs:

    Task Scheduler service is not available. Task Scheduler will attempt to reconnect to it.

    What is wrong - my system is updated with all updates.

    Windows wakes up in the middle of the night

    Okay. Open Task Scheduler by Start>Windows Administrative tools>Task Scheduler.

    Go to Task Scheduler Library>Windows>UpdateOrchestrator and disable the scheduled Task.

    task scheduler

    I can schedule task MANUALLY until h*** freezes over and the task will not run.

    READ the sentence. I can schedule task MANUALLY then the amount of time I can schedule a task. Then the outcome of scheduling tasks

    Thanks for your answer.
    I checked the link you gave and in my case it was also caused by having a network condition for a network that no longer existed.
