Long story short you can create a Microsoft account that does not require a password and that is 2 steps authentication only. I did that and disabled password log-on in settings to only have windows Hello. Now some legacy programs like task sheduler require a password. I tried using any older password I have and also leaving the field blank, but it outputs a wrong password error. How can I find the password it is asking for and where is it stored?

    :)

  2. How to disable password at log on?

    Hi Naveena,

To assist you better, I would like to know whether you are logging in with Microsoft account.

If you are using the Microsoft account to log in, I would like to inform you that it is not possible to sign into Windows without the password.

However, you may create a local account/user account and use that account to sign in, so that it will not ask you for the password when signing in.

I suggest you to refer to the article created by Andre da Costa
(MVP, Community Moderator & Wiki Author) and check if you are able to retrieve the files that are missing from the computer.

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...ndows-10/95097c32-40c4-48c0-8f3b-3bcb67afaf7c

Windows 10 - disable login passwords

How do I disable login passwords for all users on my desktop?

I have followed the many suggestions I've seen on-line but still have not been successful in disabling the log-in password for each user (2 of us); neither can I successfully disable the screen saver password. I'm really hating Windows 10.......should be
    simpler......
