Windows 10: Task View Customization

I almost always use Task View to switch between open Windows, but one thing that's always bugged me (and I've only just realized might be fixable) is that the order of the windows shown in Task View is based on when they were last used.

Problem is, if I have a lot of windows open, I never know where each window is because they're constantly changing positions. This is particularly problematic if I'm trying to quickly switch back and forth between two or three windows.

Does anyone know of a setting/program/regedit that I could use to force Task View to show windows in Alphabetical order rather than most-recently-used order? I found a bunch of regedits for changing how Task View *looks* but nothing on the display order so far.

Customizing Task View

I understand that you want to add customization in the Task View so that you can exclude the web browser activity. However, currently the Windows 10 Task View allows you to check the recent activity day wise.

Customize Task View, Alt-Tab and Snap Assist


Would you like smaller, XP style thumbnails and be able to see whats on the desktop while in Task View?

Follow instructions carefully, but, not to worry, if you wish to undo the tweaks, simply delete the items you created and all will fall back to defaults.
Affects are immediate so no need to reboot or restart Explorer.

Tested in AU and higher.

 

Task View

It's the Task View, not the Task Bar, that is the problem. I should be getting the popup (right clicking on Task View) showing the options for additional Desktops, not the five options for the Task Bar. A 'chat' with MS Solutions said that I should reinstall
Windows 10 to MAYBE correct this problem. Any suggestions to correct?? Thanks for your interest...I really appreciate it.
The Task View is the only feature that I may like on 10!!
