Windows 10: Taskbar and Start have a bug :

Hi, I've been noticing a problem with the Taskbar and Start Menu for some time now. This problem starts as soon as the PC starts, because if I try to hover over the Taskbar with the cursor it doesn't detect it in the lower part of the first three icons including the Windows one while for all the others the detection is total as it normally was . After a while the problem usually gets worse, so much so that the entire Taskbar and Start Menu do not detect the cursor at any point among other things, when this happens even Google Chrome starts to give this problem with the tabs. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I will surely assist you with this.

I would suggest you to change the desktop themes and check if you are able to see the transparent taskbar.

If that doesn't help I would suggest you to end the explorer.exe and restart it and see if you are able to see the transparent taskbar.

Please follow the steps below to restart explorer.exe:

stop and start Explorer.exe

    Right click on the taskbar and select task manager.
    
  • 
    In the process Right click on windows explorer and end the task
    
  • 
    Restart the task by clicking on the file and select new task
    
  • 
    Type Explorer.exe and press enter.

Windows taskbar Bug?

We’d like to get more information regarding this issue.

1. Were you able to play the games without the Taskbar interfering earlier?
   
2. Were there any updates that were installed recently that you think might have caused the issue?
   

We appreciate that you tried few steps to fix the issue. We can try few more steps in order to isolate the cause of the issue.

Let us go ahead and disable the Taskbar auto hide feature and check if the issue persists.

1. Right click on empty space of Taskbar.
   
2. Select Taskbar settings.
   
3. Turn off the switch under Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode.
   
4. Try playing the game in Full Screen mode and check if the Taskbar interferes with the game play.

Thank you for sharing this to the Microsoft Community. We suggest that you follow these steps for possible solution:

• Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar. If in tablet mode, hold your finger on the taskbar.
• Click on Settings.
• Toggle Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode to on. You can also do the same for tablet mode.
