Windows 10: Taskbar and Start menu search unresponsive to any clicks

Greetings,Starting at least a few weeks now, I find my taskbar completely unresponsive to any type of clicks. It also happens in some other UI elements, like certain dialog boxes and in the Start menu after typing a search query.I've tried many of the proposed solutions I found online and on the Microsoft forums, including : - Disable IrisService - Delete cumulative updates - Run SFC & DISM commands - etc...The only solution that showed any progress was creating a new local user account, which doesn't have the issue once logged in, but the issue remains on my normal user account. Feature suggestion: Add right-click menu

Suggestion: Please add a Windows 7 Jump-List and/or right-click menu to the GPU-Z icon in the Windows taskbar. Possible menus in it would be "Exit" and "About GPU-Z...".
Maybe also "Switch to tab 1/Switch to tab 2/Switch to videocard 1/Switch to videocard 2" too.
Examples of programs that have such menus are ICQ, Skype, AIM.

NOTE: It seems for a right-click menu, Windows 7 is not needed - it works on WinXP and Vista too.
But even a Windows 7 Jump-list may be good enough.
What do you think?

 

Unresponsive Taskbar/Start Menu/Search

I have been using Windows 10 for some time now and recently after starting up my computer, I have the Desktop view with the Taskbar on the bottom as usual however neither the Start/Search menu respond and I have not access to the Tiled view. The Taskbar
properties are set to "Hide the taskbar" but that even does not work. Also, it appears that Windows Update is not working as well as it shows 2 updates available, one downloaded and waiting to install and the latest majopr update not downloaded(Their status
has not changed in the last 10 days).

Any suggestions to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Before I could try your suggestions, Windows update started to work, applying the latest updates and now the Taskbar/Search and updates are working just fine. As my problem has been solved before trying your suggestions, I am not sure if I should mark this
problem as answered.
