  1. Taskbar auto hide option gets deselected every time Windows updates

Not sure if anyone else has the same problem, but I've noticed every time I do a Windows update the option to 'automatically hide the taskbar' gets turned off. It's happening every time I update and I have to go into settings to hide the taskbar again.Last update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/january-23-2024-kb5034204-os-builds-22621-3085-and-22631-3085-preview-7652acf2-56dc-430e-b8ef-ec8f56ec1028

      Properties
      ,
    • Under Taskbar tab, check mark the Auto-hide the Taskbar option, click on

  3. how to effectively hide or disable the taskbar?

    Hi,

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?

If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

    • Right click on Taskbar.
    • Click on Properties
    • Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
    • Click on OK.

    Hope this information helps.

  4. Taskbar auto hide option gets deselected every time Windows updates

    Auto hide taskbar not working

    I know how to 'auto-hide'!

IT IS NOT WORKING - the frustrating thing is that this is a known problem and is not being addressed. It may appear to be a small matter but it is not. Wherever the taskbar is situated (top, bottom, either side) it covers part of the screen and is TOTALLY
    annoying!!!!!!!

PLEASE FIX IT and help us all.
