    Taskbar becomes dimmed sometimes inconsistently when focusing on a window


    Hi all, recently I've been encountering a weird problem where the top of my taskbar becomes dimmed if another window is focused, but it only happens sometimes and is very off-putting. I am using Windows 11 Build 2261, and I have looked everywhere in the settings but there doesn't seem to be anything related to this.     Windows 10 Mail App Focused Problem

    Hi Larry,

    To turn off the Focused & other feature in the Mail app, please follow the steps below:

    • Open your Mail app
    • Click on the Settings icon (looks like a gear).
    • Click Options, and search for the layout section.
    • Under layout, find Focused Inbox. Select Don't sort messages and then hit
      Save.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

    • Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
    • In the search box, type Settings
    • SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
    • Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
      "(Recommended)”.
    Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
    • If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
    • If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.
