I'm using an up-to-date version of Windows 10 Pro, with multiple monitors & auto-hide taskbar setting.Windows has begun doing an annoying thing recently - the taskbar gets/retains focus after clicking on a notification to bring up the associated app. For example: I'm working in Outlook and get a notification from Slack in the bottom right of the screen, and I click on it to bring up Slack. Slack comes to the foreground, but it doesn't get focus. Instead, the Windows Taskbar pops up from its auto-hide position and highlights the Slack "tile" or whatever it's ca

  2. An App's Taskbar icon loses focus after it is right-clicked followed by selecting the app.

When you right-click on any app's icon on the taskbar and then click on the app's window, the taskbar icon of that app is no longer focused even though the app is already set on focus.

    Steps to reproduce the problem:

    1. Open any application.

    2. Right click on that application's icon on the taskbar.

    3. Click on that application's window.
    4. Observe its taskbar icon. Its icon on the taskbar is no more highlighted even though the app is already set in focus.
