Windows 10: Taskbar buttons no longer work

Hi guys, I really need help, when I click on any of the buttons in the right hand corner of my task bar e.g. battery logo, wifi, volume or calendar/time nothing at all happens. Its made it impossible for me to do certain things, such as change wifi networks. I've tried doing it through settings instead but whenever I click 'show all available networks' it does nothing. Same for bluetooth, when I click 'add a bluetooth device' nothing happens at all. I think it all happened after I did a windows 10 update but I'm really not sure, how can I fix this?

Start Button and taskbar not working


I did as suggested but didn't get to Troubleshoot or Reset computer. When it started back up with taskbar was complete and start button working. Everything seems ok, but slower. So thanks for that. Can you tell me about creating restore point manually and creating system image backup ?

 

Taskbar buttons not working

Hi,

To resolve your concern regarding the Start button, follow the steps below:

• Go to This PC.
  
• Click on Local Disk (C.
• Select Windows.
• Click on System32.
• Right click on cmd, and then Run as administrator.
• On the Command Prompt box, type sfc/ scannow, and then press
  Enter.

7. Check the result that you will get.

If the result is Found corrupt files and repair successfully, test your Windows and Search button again.

If the result is Found corrupt files but unable to repair, follow the steps below:

• Open Command Prompt as an Administrator.
• At the flashing prompt, type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth then press Enter.
• Once it says Operation successful, try your Windows and Search button again.

If the result is No integrity violation, follow the steps below:

• Open Command Prompt as an Administrator.
• Type powershell, and then press Enter.
• Wait until you see PS C:\windows\system32>, at the flashing prompt type this command
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} then press Enter.
• If you see any error in red, ignore it.
• Once done, try your Windows and Search button.
