Windows 10: taskbar cannot be moved from the bottom of the screen nor can it be hidden. What?

My computer forced me to update to the new system... It would not stop asking to restart and update. Now that I have updated to Windows 11 I have found issues including the fact that the taskbar doesn't hide and I can't place it on the left side of my screen. It is only located at the bottom of my screen. Will you be adding the ability to customize the home screen so that users can place the taskbar wherever they want on their screen? thank you

Moving the taskbar

You can customize your taskbar to pin your favorite apps to it, move it to where you want to display on your screen, and specify how taskbar buttons group together when you have more than one window open. To address your question, we suggest
that you follow these steps on how to move your taskbar to a different location on the screen:

• Open Settings and choose Personalization.
• Select Taskbar.
• Under Taskbar location on the screen, click the drop-down menu and select
  Bottom.

Taskbar hidden behind windows

There are a few possible solutions to fix the taskbar hidden behind windows issue. Here are some of them:

• Check your taskbar settings and make sure that the auto-hide feature is turned off. This feature can cause the taskbar to disappear when you move your mouse over a maximized window. To turn off auto-hide, press and hold (or right-click) any empty space on the taskbar, and select Taskbar settings.
  

• Change your display resolution to an appropriate one for your monitor. Sometimes, the taskbar can be hidden if the resolution is too high or too low for your screen size.
  

• Resize the window to a non-maximized state. This can be done by clicking and dragging the window's edges.
  

• If you are using a second monitor or a projector, the taskbar may be hidden on one of the screens. To fix this, press Windows + P on your keyboard and select PC screen only from the sidebar. This will make your primary screen the only one that displays your desktop.

How do you remove the taskbar from bottom of the screen.

  Right click on Taskbar.

  Select properties.

  Uncheck the box lock the taskbar and check if it helps.

  And move it to the top or right or left of the screen.
