    Taskbar Configuration

I have updated from Windows 10, 221H1, TO Windows 11, 21H2. I really miss having the ability to display labels on Icons that are open in the taskbar. Currently I have, for example, the generic icon shown but if I have several other links open within that icon I have to hover over the icon to see them. The views that are displayed are small and then I click on the particular link I want. Under Windows 10 the links would be shown next to each other with a label/description letting me readily see which link I want to open. Please bring back the ability to chose to display labels for the open

    :)

    System Icons on taskbar

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

    • Click on the search bar on the taskbar.

    • Type system icons.

    • Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

    Hope it helps.

  4. Taskbar Configuration

how to effectively hide or disable the taskbar?

    Hi,

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?

If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

    • Right click on Taskbar.
    • Click on Properties
    • Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
    • Click on OK.

    Hope this information helps.
