Windows 10: Taskbar crashes when switching applications and time running behind when this occurs.

Good morning,A few users in my organization have reported that their taskbar crashes when they are switching applications. When the taskbar crashes, the time is running behind.For example, an user is working in Outlook on a new mail for a while. When the users decides to which to Edge via the taskbar, the taskbar crashes and takes a few minutes return to normal. this was the problem the first few times. When I then asked the users to watch the time when it does thiscrashing taskbar, they reported the time running behind not fixed, randomly behind.Does anyone have a clue what could be wro

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

'particular monitor/screen and visible unlocked taskbar' No, my taskbar is normally locked - I would need to include the unlocking step. I already use many Autohotkey applications - mostly for entering scraps of text.
Forgive me for quoting the wrong program 'AutoIT' when you suggested AutoHotKey. MouseClickDrag looks daunting but 'feasible' - worth a try - but not tonight.

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
