Windows 10: Taskbar cuts off the very bottom of my wallpaper

The subject is exactly how it sounds. I have tried switching the wallpaper settings fit, stretch, fill etc, tried locking the taskbar, and none of those things work. I read suggestions on other sites like reddit to resize the picture and put like a white bar at the bottom of it. Well I don't want to do any of that because my computer never cut off the bottom of my picture before.


I had to reinstall windows 10 the same version I have always had for 3 or 4 years now and now my wallpaper is having the problem.

The rest of the anime logo is cut off and its more than an eyesore for me. I also really don't want to make my taskbar transparent. What I'm asking is for any software I can download third-party or not, or perhaps changing part of a registry file. I never had to make any changes for a fix like this ever so its REALLY bothering me. I will appreciate any lead that I am given.

  Are you facing issues while trying to change the lock screen Wallpaper?

  Are you not able to choose the directory where the wallpapers has been saved?
  

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to restart the computer and check if you are able to successfully change the lock screen wallpaper.

  From Desktop, right click and select
  Personalize.
  
• 
  In Personalization window, click on
  Lock Screen in the left pane.
  
• 
  And choose wallpaper you would like to apply for the lock screen by choosing the browse option.
  
• 
  Close the Personalization window.

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?



If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

• Right click on Taskbar.
• Click on Properties
• Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
• Click on OK.
