Windows 10: Taskbar doesn’t turn acrylic to solid when battery saver on

Somehow I think that I managed to get fucked my Windows 10 registry settings when playing with “Transparent Taskbar”, “TranslucentTB”, “FalconX” apps and right now my taskbar doesn’t turn their style to acrylic to solid, it stays with acrylic state and interestingly when battery saver on, tried to transparency off and on with the regular settings app and eventually it became fully transparent without any gradient and blur or something. Without reinstalling, is there a solution for that? Thanks in advance. Windows 10 2004 19041.1.

Battery saver brigthness

I'm experiencing the same issue on the Lumia 1520 (AT&T) and 822 (Verizon). This is not limited to a small subset of handsets, evident by the discussions at

Battery saver allways on

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you to try the following methods and check:

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager and then select Device Manager.

2. From Device Manager, expand the Batteries category.

3. Double-tap or double-click Microsoft Surface ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, select the Driver tab, and select Uninstall > OK, Driver will be reinstalled automatically when you restart your Laptop.

4. Shut down your laptop.

5. Remove the battery if you have a Removable battery.

6. Skip the step if your laptop doesn’t have a removable battery.

7. Insert the batter back if you removed it.

8. Power on your laptop.

9. Once this steps are performed, follow the below steps to turn off the Battery saver.

Turn off Batter saver.

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Settings and then select Settings.

1. Once the Settings app is running, click System icon

2. In the left-pane, tap or click Battery Saver to see overview of battery saver feature

3. Click on Battery saver settings, uncheck the option titled Turn battery saver on automatically if my battery falls below option to disable Battery Saver feature.

I cannot turn off the battery saver

Hello Robert, hope this message finds you well. My name is Steve and I'm an Independent advisor.

I recommend that you follow the steps below one by one to fix your issue

1. Go to the Search box on the taskbar, then type in Device Manager and click on it

2. Under Device Manager, double click the Batteries category

3. Double click Microsoft Surface ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, then select the Driver tab, and click on Uninstall - OK. (The driver will be automatically reinstalled when you start your computer.

4. Turn off your pc.

5. If you have a Removable battery - remove it and then insert it back

6. if you don’t have a Removable battery - skip this step

7. Turn on your computer

The steps to turn off the Battery saver:

1. Go to the search box on the taskbar to type Settings and click on it

1. Click on System icon

2. Find Battery Saver on the left-pane and click on it to see overview of battery saver feature

3. Tap on Battery saver settings, then uncheck the option Turn battery saver on automatically if my battery falls below to disable Battery Saver feature.
