Windows 10: Taskbar has acrylic effect, but start menu is 110% opaque.

I am trying to make the Start Menu acrylic, like the the taskbar, but for some reason I just can't.

I've tried everything I could think:

- Regedit (worked on the taskbar, but not on start menu);

- Third party softwares (TransparentTB and Open-Shell), but instead making it acrylic...they REPLACED the taskbar/start menu with their own start menu instead. I don't want to replace it... so it didn't really work.

- a lot of options on Control Panel and Windows Settings (including energy saving, energy plans and etc)

- PowerShell

- Updated all drivers, including nVidia's.

This isn't a brand new pc, but it runs Win 10 fair enough: FX-6300, GTX750, 8GB, 240GB SSD + 4TB SATA, Windows 10 2004 19041.329, etc...

btw, is there a way to fix this?

How to revert back to older transpency effect from Acrylic transparency on Win10 Fall update?

The new "Acrylic" transparency effect for Windows 10 modern apps and Start Menu is way too too opaque. It looks almost as bad as turning transparency completely off.

Is there a way to revert back to the older transparency effect in Windows 10? The whole point of transparency is to be able to tell what's "behind" windows that are on top. Its not really possible to do that anymore with the almost opaque Acrylic transparency
effect.

It doesn't appear there is any builtin ways to do this. Maybe, it's possible to use a 3rd party tool like Aero Tweaker or something like that? Thanks in advance!

in windows 10 , you can remove the acrylic from the start menu etc. by turning off transparency effects in

settings -> personalisation -> colours

as far as i know you can't make them completely transparent.
