    Taskbar Hover Showing different SSID than what I am connected to.


    Hi there, I was on my PC today and randomly hovered over the Network icon in my taskbar. It said I was connected to what I think was an old mobile hotspot. When opening up the sidebar it showed I was connected to my home network. I was able to fix this by switching to another SSID then switching back.

    Is this just a matter of Windows getting it's wires crossed and showing the alphabetically first saved network? I figured it may coincide with running the October update last night.

    Windows 10 WIFI ssids

    Hi,

    Its a suggestion to Microsoft.

    When you hover the cursor on the networks, it just shows the available SSIDS right. If its a secured network, just display a LOCK symbol on the SSID name. SO users can easily understand its a secured network. If its a unsecured network don't show the lock
    symbol on the SSID name.

    Maybe my comment was ambiguous. I want the list to show longer. When I hover on a taskbar icon, it shows the list for about 4 seconds and then stops showing. I want to show the list of open windows to show as long as I hover over the taskbar icon.

    How to OPEN Programs in Taskbar Preview WITHOUT Clicking ??

    @Triliuner I'm sorry to hear it's not as simple as that.

    When you have multiple windows opened from a single application e.g. 2 separate windows from Chrome, do they show up as previews when you hover over Chrome's icon in the taskbar, or as a list? Just asking to clarify that, they are at least showing as previews. If not, this should help: Change Taskbar Thumbnail Threshold to Show List in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials

    As for the different windows not showing when you hover your mouse over a preview, maybe it has something to do with the delay, see here: Change Delay Time to Show Taskbar Thumbnails in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials (restoring the default value)

    I hope that helps, if not, maybe others can suggest some other things to try..
