  1. Taskbar icons disappear after a while of inactivity

I'm been using Messenger and Spotify installed from Microsoft Store for a while and every now and then I notice that if I go AFK or just not using these 2 apps for a while, it'll just disappear from the taskbar and the hidden menu even though these 2 apps still running normally and can be reopen using the shortcut. Every time this happened, I would have to open Task Manager, end these apps, and reopen them in order to get the taskbar icons back, which is very annoying. This does not happen to any other apps, which is very bizarre.* The Nvidia GeForce Experience icon is also gone.**I'm not entir

    System Icons on taskbar

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

    • Click on the search bar on the taskbar.

    • Type system icons.

    • Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

    Hope it helps.

Taskbar icons disappear after a while of inactivity

    Vista x64 'Hide inactive icons'

Hi, i recently installed Vista x64 on one of my drives. the good news is that it recognizes all my RAM (4GB), the bad news, so far, is that i no longer have the < or > to show or hide inactive icons (it is normally to the left of the clock and other icons in the bottom right side of the screen). is this a known problem in Vista x64? i have already tried to edit the registry thinking that the problem was there, but it wasn't. i have already enabled the settings in the taskbar so that inactive icons SHOULD hide, but the little arrow (< or >) doesnt show up; just a blank space where it should be.

thanks in advance for any solutions or help.
