    At the moment the user has to manually check if he's got any emails or other stuff, by opening the start menu, but this let's him know as soon as he gets any, however here's the cool thing...it won't annoy the user with Big pop ups and sounds.
    Plus if he's been AFK for a while, he'll see number of new notification's he's got in the meantime.

    Taskbar number display of new notifications

    Taskbar notification icon does not display number of new notifications bubble.

    Have downloaded display number bat file, to no avail.

    Right-clicking on taskbar notification icon displays "Show number of new notifications" yet no number of notifications.

    Right-clicked on "Show number of new notifications",
    "Don't show number of new notifications" is displayed yet no number bubble is displayed when a new notification/message is received .

    What else can be performed to display the number of new notifications on the taskbar?

    windows 10 notification number badge not showing

    Thank you for the information.

    Notifications in Windows 10 are integrated into the Action Center. The white Action Center icon indicates that you have new notifications, and the number badge shows you how many.

    To disable the number badge, right-click the Action Center icon and select
    "Don't show number of new notifications" on the pop-up menu.

    To help you turn it on, right-click on the Action Center icon and choose
    "Show number of new notifications" option.
