Windows 10: Taskbar internet icon says No Internet.... "crossed out globe"

I am submitting a fix rather than looking for a fix. Fairly new computer with Windows 11 recently began showing 'no internet' globe in my Taskbar but I had perfectly good internet connection. Rather weird. After some searching, I found my fix. Go to registry editorHkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\nlasvc\parameters\internetOpen- enableactiveprobingChange value data from 0 to 1 if yours already has a 1, try changing to a 0Ok and restartHope this helps someone, it sure made my day! :

Red cross on Internet Icon on Taskbar

Hi Vijay thanks for the prompt answer, unfortunately I tried all these steps earlier...…...I can connect to the internet easily......it's just that it seems that any internal system that wants to auto connect, can't do so and the only problem I see is
this small Red cross above the internet icon

 

Globe Icon in Taskbar

Hello, I recently just got a PC, and there’s a globe icon on the taskbar instead of the wifi connectivity icon. When ever I press it, it takes me to ‘network and internet settings’ but then when I click ‘show available networks’, nothing happens. Does
anyone know how to fix this

 

Globe icon replacing the ethernet icon and no internet

Today my pc started having a problem that a globe icon is showing instead of the standard ethernet icon. When the globe icon shows up my internet is gone. When starting up my pc the ethernet logo will show but switches to the globe icon. Any help will be much appreciated.
