Windows 10: Taskbar is opaque again after KB5028254 update

It happened again. After a Windows 11 update in about February, the taskbar lost the ability to appear transparent or translucent. But then I found a solution to that by posting a question here. The solution involved using ViVeTool GUI and the TranslucentTB app, and it worked great!But now, about July 27, 2023, I installed the latest Windows update: KB5028254. This one disables the taskbar fix, rendering it useless! The taskbar is now opaque again, and I'm getting sick of it! So sick of it that I uninstalled that Windows update and rolled back to the previous version. That seems to be the on

Highlighting Text is Opaque

Hi CmdrKeene,

I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand what would be the point of creating a new account. Are there steps after that that I should also be considering?

I just want to change the highlighting so that it's no longer opaque. If I create a new account now then everything will be defaulted, including all the theme customization and sound customization I also changed around the time I changed the highlighting.Does anyone know about the codes that are entered in the registry for highlighting and which ones are opaque and which ones are transparent?

Taskbar Issue with Multiple Monitors

• Are you using a Local Account or a Microsoft Account?
• What is the make and model of your PC?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties.
• Check if the option for Lock the Taskbar and Auto-hide the taskbar
  are ticked.
• If they are ticked then uncheck the option for Auto-hide the taskbar.

Also, suggest you to update the Display driver by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
