Windows 10: Taskbar NOT! Closing While Playing Games

So i've been having this problem for a very long time and still cant seem to find a fix. I'm playing ARK: Survival Evolved and whenever I look up and down the taskabr pops up whenever I look down, and when i look up the option to exit the game pops up. It's extremly annoying and frustrating. I've tried muiltiple different suggestions other people have made, such as, Restart Windows Explorer, Kill Windows Explorer, Updated to the lastest windows and drivers, turned off taskbar. Ive done everything i've seen and nothing has fixed it. I thought there would've been a fix by now, but maybe theres s

Taskbar automatically pops up while playing games

I understand that you get the Taskbar while playing games in Full screen mode. Ideally, some games allow you to hide the Taskbar while playing games and some will show the Taskbar by default. We would like to know, if this issue occurs with all the
games or only with one particular game.



If you are facing this issue with one particular game, then there must be some in game setting that you might have to change. If you are facing this issue with all the games, then you can try one workaround and see if that helps.



The workaround is to close Windows Explorer process while you are playing game. This will allow you to play the game uninterruptedly. However, when you End the Windows Explorer process, all the windows that are running in the background will be closed,
which allow you to play the game without any interruption of the Taskbar. When you want all the windows back, you can restart the Windows Explorer process.



Please follow the steps mentioned below to do the same:

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc key while playing game, this will open
   Task Manager.
   
2. Look for Windows Explorer process, right click on it and select
   End Task.
   
3. When you want the windows back, open Task Manager by following
   Step 1, and click on File.
   
4. Click on Run new task, type
   explorer.exe and click on OK. Windows Explorer will be restarted and you will have all the windows back again.

Laptop goes to sleep when the LID is closed while playing the game.

Hello,

I realize the inconvenience you are facing in your laptop regarding the sleep mode while playing game. We will help you.

To assist you better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• Have you connected the external monitor to the Laptop?
• Did you make any recent changes prior to the issue?
• Are you facing this issue specifically when playing the specific Game?
• Are you facing this issue after any recent updates installed?

This issue might have caused due to the power settings for the closing of LID is set to sleep mode.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X keys and select the Control Panel.
• Select Power options by searching in search box.
• Right side select Change Plan setting next to the power plans.
• Select the Change advanced Power plan settings.
• Under the list select and expand Power buttons and lid.
• Select Turn off the display under the drop down of setting.
• Click Apply. Ok.
• Close the LID and Check if the issue resolves.
