Windows 10: Taskbar not displaying icons after reboot, until manually restarting explorer.exe.

Hello,I'm encountering a peculiar issue with my Windows 10 Pro Build: 19045.3996. Upon booting the PC, the taskbar fails to display any icons. To resolve this, I have to manually restart explorer.exe using Task Manager, which restores the icons. However, the problem reoccurs after a complete reboot, making it quite inconvenient.This issue surfaced after I installed the NVIDIA Hotfix https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5519/~/geforce-hotfix-driver-version-551.46. Following the installation, I cleared the DXcaches using Windows' disk cleanup feature and restarted the PC. Upon

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

As an initial step I would suggest you to install all the pending updates and restart your computer, check if it fixes the issue.



Make sure Volume button display is enabled in taskbar.

• Open settings window
• Click on personalization, on left pane select task bar.
• On right pane click on 'select what icons appear on the taskbar'.
• Toggle volume icon to make volume icon appear on task bar.
