Windows 10: Taskbar notifications stack and ignore specified time in the code

I code applications for windows for years.

Since windows 10 introduced STACKING of notifications, most of my applications became nightmare.

I use notifications to notify user of a task performed. As task change, notification change.

Sometimes it takes less then 1 second for task to change.


Sometimes there are many notifications.


Notifications stack one on top of another and continue to pop and play notification sound even with the application closed.

Specifying notification timing does not help. Windows 10 ignores notification time settings in the code and keeps showing it until user click it or until it times out based on what ever delay (except one i set in my code)

I would suggest you to follow the steps to hide the notification icon on your taskbar.

• 
  Type Settings on your search bar
  
• 
  Click on systems
  
• 
  Select notifications and actions
  
• 
  Disable all the notifications on the screen

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

ThrottleStop 8.60 Stays in Taskbar

Hello!

I have an issue with ThrottleStop 8.60 (And 8.50U) staying in the taskbar when minimizing and not going to the notification area. The notification icon is there but it is always in the taskbar too. If I check 'Minimize on Close it still stays in the taskbar. Is this a bug or does anyone know how to get it off my taskbar and only in the notification bar?
