  1. Taskbar randomly won't work when I startup or restart the system

It's a 50/50 chance the taskbar will work or won't work after the system is started and if it doesn't work then I can't use my PC properly, all the icons pinned in the taskbar won't appear and the start menu button and search bar are unresponsive, when clicking anywhere in the taskbar it shows:

    " Microsoft Windows

The application is not responding. The program may respond again if you wait.

Do you want to end this process?"

I know when it's going to fail because the loading during the log-in screen is a lot longer than usual, there's actually an annoying fix that is just restarting and when Windows loads again the taskbar works normally but this gets old really fast, I've tried everything including:

    -Restart explorer.exe

    -Doing a repair install

-Using sfc /scannow and DISM commands

-Using safe mode (it also happens there)

I feel that I'm getting out of options, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    System Icons on taskbar

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

    • Click on the search bar on the taskbar.

    • Type system icons.

    • Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

    Hope it helps.
