Windows 10: Taskbar resizing issue.

Intro:

After the Windows 10 2004 update coming from 1809 I experience the infamous glitch with the taskbar resize lag.


The bug:

It simply plays back the movements at 10% of the speed you moved it at, so if you stop dragging the taskbar, the cursor is still visibly dragging the taskbar. It will even spawn a second cursor that you can still move around in that short time.

This glitch existed in Win98SE, WinXP, Win Vista, Win7, Win 8 and now it's back again. What are you guys doing over there?


What have I tried:

Before telling me to reboot the pc, update and jump through more burning hoops, I already did so. So don't recommend me to reboot the pc. I see it's a common trait among the "helpers" to just say to reboot the pc, which never helps.


Note, I already know how to stop this from lagging, but I do not want to use that.

Your team of programmers just need to solve this.


How to solve my issue: and I don't tolerate this fix because I want to see the contents of windows being dragged/resized without it causing a mental breakdown

Windows+Pause » Advanced System Settings » System Properties / Advanced » Performance Options » Disable "Show window contents while dragging".

Please follow the below steps and check if it helps:

• Right click on taskbar.
• click on properties.
• uncheck--use small taskbar buttons.
• uncheck--lock the taskbar.
• try to place the mouse pointer and then resize the taskbar.

Doesn't work on an hp stream tablet which doesn't have a mouse only touch screen. Mine is doing same thing. All updates applied and I cannot resize the taskbar on my hp stream 8 tablet. It was fine and now its double height of what it was.
