Windows 10: TASKBAR, SEARCH, CALENDAR, WINDOWS STORE All not working after fighting with recent updates

Long story short. I noticed I could no longer use the "type to search" bar in windows 10. It shows up an empty box for a few seconds with the "thinking dots" right up the top, then closes itself. I looked at the most recent update KB5003637 and uninstalled it. The problem went away. I stopped updates for 7 days. Then when that expired, it installed. So I uninstalled it again, and this time the problem did not go away. I noticed the problem seemed to be more widespread than just search. Calendar wont show when clicking the right taskbar date. Searching in windows store eventually leads to a

So this helped us to understand that the issue is with in the Calendar app. So let's proceed with further troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Run Windows Store Troubleshooter

I suggest you to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. Follow these steps to run Windows Store troubleshooter:

• Type troubleshooting in the search window and select it.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Windows Store troubleshooter.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

Step 2:

If issue persists then there might be a chance that the Calendar app may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store. To get these app working again, you need to follow these steps:

• 
  Open powershell
  as administrator. Type PowerShell in the search box, right click on it and select
  run as administrator.
  
• 
  Run the command get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage
  
  
• 
  Re-install Calendar from Windows Store.

Windows 10: how to restore search bar in the taskbar?

When I right click on Taskbar, there is no "Search" in the list.

 

my taskbar search is working sporadically

My taskbar search bar is working some of the time. For example, if I type in "TaskMgr", it will list taskmgr, and when I click on it, it opens my Task Manager, as expected.

But if I type in a file name or an app, like WinMerge, it will list them properly in the Search list, but if I click on them, either nothing happens or it takes me to the root window of File Explorer, instead of to the file or the app.
