Windows 10: Taskbar Search Doesn't Show Recents

When I go to the search icon in taskbar, right click to open pane, click on search, it only shows trending and masses of irrelevant crud. It used to show recent searches, making the box pretty empty, which was great. Now suddenly it has tons of useless suggestions. How do I make it go back to show recent searches, and nothing else? Thanks.

Kindly follow the steps provided below:

• On the start search, type Settings, click
  Personalization, and click Start
• Set the Show recently opened items in jump list on Start or the taskbar
  to Off

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

This issue with search box may happen if it's hidden from the taskbar.

To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the taskbar and select Search.
• Select Show search box.
