Windows 10: Taskbar shortcut takes me to Libraries instead of the folder I want to go

Hi. I´m having problems with a shortcut. I´ve been using the taskbar shortcut of a folder called Projects for years, but now I want to have the shortcut of a folder that´s inside Projects. For some reason, now I can´t get into it, and Projects shortcut won´t work either. Both of them, and any other Windows folder I try to pin, gets me to Libraries. I´ve changed options, ticked and unticked some others, I´ve tried many ways, but I can´t. What am I doing wrong, or what´s wrong? Thank you.

To Include folders using Manage Library Tools, we suggest that you perform the steps below:

• In File Explorer, select or open a library (ex: Videos) you want to include a folder or drive to.
• Click on the Library Tools Manage tab, and click on the Manage library button in the ribbon.
• Click on the Add button
• Browse to and select a folder or drive that you want to include in this library, and click on the Include folder button.
• When finished, click/tap on OK.

How do I add a shortcut to the Taskbar on Windows 10

As per the issue description you are unable to add a shortcut to the taskbar in Windows 10. You are right that there is no option to pin the shortcut to the taskbar. However, you should be able to drag and drop the shortcut to the taskbar. If you are unable
to do that try the steps provided below and see if it helps you to fix the issue.

• Open the network connection page by clicking on the shortcut.
• Once that page is open, you could see the same in the taskbar.
• Now, right click on the icon of network connection in the taskbar which is representing your shortcut.
• Select the option pin to the taskbar.
• Now the shortcut will be pinned to the taskbar.

Picture User Folder vs Library Picture Folder / Add to User folder

Form the issue description, I realize that you are trying to view your pictures in the default pictures library. To do so, you have to change the location of the folder that contains your pictures to the default pictures library folder.



To view your pictures in the default pictures library, I suggest you to follow the steps below.

• 
  Right-click on the default Picture folder
  and click on Properties.
  
• 
  Navigate to Location tab.
  
• 
  Click on Move…. and select the folder that contains your pictures and click on
  Apply and then click on Ok.
