Taskbar slightly visable when set to auto-hide

    Hi,

I have taskbar set to auto hide but, I can still see it. I see the top of the search box and the tops of any apps that are currently open, like Settings, in this case.

I think my Asus monitor is fine, as I didn't have this issue on Linux. I reset it just in case, same thing.

Is there a way to fix this?

Note: it's probably going to be difficult to see the issue in the screenshot below, as the background here on answers is white, so too much contrast to tell but, it's there. Perhaps open the image in a new dark tab or something else with a dark background.

  2. how to effectively hide or disable the taskbar?

    Hi,

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?

If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

    • Right click on Taskbar.
    • Click on Properties
    • Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
    • Click on OK.

    Hope this information helps.

  4. Taskbar slightly visable when set to auto-hide

    Auto hide taskbar not working

    I know how to 'auto-hide'!

IT IS NOT WORKING - the frustrating thing is that this is a known problem and is not being addressed. It may appear to be a small matter but it is not. Wherever the taskbar is situated (top, bottom, either side) it covers part of the screen and is TOTALLY
    annoying!!!!!!!

PLEASE FIX IT and help us all.
