Windows 10: Taskbar Volume & Sound Quality During Live Streaming Noticably Diminished Over Last Couple...

I see 'System File Check' listed as a possible remedy on the net, but suspect it's something else because I've already run S.F.C. several times since I first noticed diminished overall volume, and more distortion on the higher settings. I'm having to set the volume at about 3/4 capacity to hear what should be about 1/3 volume. When set at higher volume before, the speakers were loud and quite clear. Speakers are Logitech with 2 desktop speakers and a bass.Any other ideas?Thanks

Sound Quality

One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

May not be a speaker problem.

 

Taskbar shortcuts' context menus diminished

Depends on the app or program..., depends on your max jump list limit..., depends on a lot of things...

Example:
The Settings App, you got squat!





Some apps are normal, sorta...





Win32 programs are still integrated, (for now!!!) with File Explorer, so they're traditional...
