Windows 10: Taskbar window peeking not working

Hello! Whenever i have a window opened and it shows open in the taskbar, when i hover on the open window's icon on the taskbar it only shows it's name in a little label tag and it doesn't let me preview that specific window without me needing to switch to it, for an example with alt+tab.Note: By the way, like 5 months ago, this feature was working perfectly. I have opened the windows "Adjust the performance and appearance of windows" thing, i selected the option "Adjust for best appearance" and it enabled all the options, including the "Enable peek" one, but it just does still not allow me to

We may need to change some settings to enable the peek option. Follow the steps below:

• Open Settings.
  
• Click Personalization.
  
• Select Taskbar on the left pane.
  
• Locate Use Peek to preview the desktop when you move your mouse to the Show desktop button at the end of the taskbar option, turn it
  ON.

Let’s turn off the Peek option and check. Follow the below step.

• 
  Right click on the Windows task bar and click on Properties.
  
• 
  Uncheck the option Use Peek to preview the desktop when you move your mouse to the Sow desktop button at the end of the taskbar.

  Now click on Apply and click on
  OK.
