Windows 10: TaskbarSi very small Icons on taskbar does not work

TaskbarSi very small Icons on taskbar does not work....So how do i revert windows back to old version that support TaskbarSi very small Icons on taskbar ?

I want medium taskBAR, but small taskbar ICONS

I need a medium-sized taskbar because date and time are stacked vertically at the R end of the taskbar. Why are they stacked? No clue. I'd prefer that they were side-by-side, but there we are. So, in order for both the date and time to be visible, TaskbarSi in the registry editor must be set to 1 or 2. I have it set at 1.

But I want the icons inside the taskbar to remain at the small size -- the size that they are when TaskbarSi is set to 0. I really dislike the large, clunky, Fisher Price look to the icons at TaskbarSi=1.

So, to sum:

I need TaskbarSi=1 to provide enough room for time and date to be visible

But I want the icons to be sized at TaskbarSi=0

Medium taskbar, small icons.

Any way to do this?

 

Taskbar icon size

When I first upgraded to Windows 11, the one problem I had was the size of the icons in the Taskbar. Being visually changed, they were just too small.



After some digging, I found a YouTube video by Kevin Stratvert ( ), that, in five steps, resolved the issue. This made the icons about the same size as small desktop icons (Ctrl+Shift+4). This was perfect and I have been quited satisfied with Windows 11 ever since.



Resize icons on taskbar:

1. Location in registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
   
2. Click New and then DWORD (32-bit) Value
   
3. Set the name of the DWORD Value as “TaskbarSi” and hit the Enter key to save changes.
   
4. Large taskbar – TaskbarSi value 2
   
5. Restart Windows Explorer
   

Since applying 2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022913), the icons have reverted tom the original small size, so again, they are difficult to interpret quickly. I have removed the TaskbarSI from the registry and restarted Windows Explorer, the went through the steps above (adding TaskbarSi back), to no avail.



Has anyone else encountered this and are there any known tweaks that will restore the icons to their larger size.

 

TaskbarSi (very small Icons on taskbar) does not work anymore after update KB5022913

Windows 11 Pro 64Bit

After install update KB5022913 the registry-entry TaskbarSi Value 0 does not work anymore! This entry should provide extra smaal icons on the taskbar.

After installing the update , all items on the desktop were arranged in a different maner and, more important, the taskbar Icons are way bigger than before.

Contacted Microsoft chat and was told that the issue was known and should be repaired in future. But after inspecting Windows 11, version 22H2 known issues and notifications | Microsoft Learn there was no know issue about taskbar icons.

Can anyone help me?
