Windows 10: TaskbarX Startup

Discus and support TaskbarX Startup in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; So I installed TaskbarX for a while but uninstalled it because it wasn't doing what I wanted.     TaskbarX Startup


    So I installed TaskbarX for a while but uninstalled it because it wasn't doing what I wanted. Ever since, this pops up upon startup, and I cannot get rid of it.

    I've tried reinstalling TaskbarX (which stops these popups), then uninstalled again but the problem starts again. I also had a look to see if it's a startup program, but once it's uninstalled, I can't find a trace of it anywhere. Just wondering why Windows is still looking for it when I start up. Any ideas?

    Hi Luky,

    Thank you for posting your reply.

    I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

    • In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
    • Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.
    After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.

    Adding programs to startup with Windows 7?

    You could add entries to the registry to launch the apps on startup, but it's easier to just add them to the startup foler as Newt suggested.
