Windows 10: taskhostw.exe error in Performance Monitor

I've gone through all the steps to remove the potential taskhostw.exe malware and it still occurs in my Performance Monitor when I run a System Diagnosis check. It's still coming up as "Process taskhostw.exe [ProcessId: 2068] has a high CPU consumption of 99.3%".


Is there anything one may suggest to fix this?

The error messages "taskhostw.exe" and that one when you use the Edge browser are possibly being caused by corrupted files. For us to provide you the accurate resolution, we would like to know the version of your Windows.
see the steps below on how to do so:

• Press Windows key, then type in winver.
• A pop-up box will show up containing your Windows version.
• Send us a screenshot.

Adding up, we would also like to know how did you reinstall your Windows.

  Click Start , click in the Start Search box, type
  perfmon , and press ENTER.

  In the navigation tree, click Monitoring Tools , and then double-click
  Performance Monitor .
