Windows 10: Tasks still show in Task Scheduler despite being deleted

I deleted some tasks in windows\system32\tasks, but they still show up in the scheduler.

What gives?

edit: It's not all of them actually, which is even more puzzling. I saw Remote assitance one and that stupid Xbox service.

I suggest you to clear the task from Task Scheduler using the below steps and check if the issue still persists.

Steps:-

• Type Task Scheduler on Search bar.
• Click on Task Scheduler Library.
• Select the particular task and right click on it.
• Select End.

created a task scheduler task at the root Task Scheduler (Local) and can't delete it

As per your concern to delete the scheduled task, try the below steps and check if it helps.

1. Open the task scheduler by pressing Windows + R
keys, and type taskschd.msc

2. Click on the task scheduler(Local)
in the left pane.

3. Now under the Active tasks, select the task you have created.

4. Double click on the task.

5. It will navigate you to the created task. Now, right click on the task, and click on
delete option, and confirm it.

Task Scheduler issue

I did a,b, and c and Task Scheduler is non-functional now. Not one single task is shown. Also tried repair install, but still have problem with 'Task Scheduler is not available. Task Scheduler will attempt to reconnect to it'.
