  1. Tcpip 4205 Event Warning since new router & ISP switch!

Ever since I switched to a new ISP TalkTalk here in the UK that uses the Wi-Fi Hub (Sagemcom [email protected] 5364).

Now I am not using Wi-Fi at all, only Ethernet cables. I reset the network adapter, but this warning appears all the time since pretty much the day of my ISP switch.

How do I get rid off this issue? It is not affecting my internet use or performance. Windows 10 Pro Version number 1903.

    :)

  2. Event 4230 Tcpip Error

    Hello Ronald,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing in Windows. We will help you.

This warning probably would mean the router/modem dropped packets or for some reason didn't receive them, so windows tried to mitigate loss packets sent to the network.

The error message” Tcpip Event ID 4230” is mainly caused due to the Peer to Peer network connectivity issue.

I suggest you to post your query on our separate TechNet forum as your Windows question would be more complex than what is typically answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited in the
    TechNet forums.

  4. Tcpip 4205 Event Warning since new router & ISP switch!

    Managed Switch or Router?

A switch is not the same as a router. How is your ISP assigning your IP addresses?
