    TDR failure: nvlddmkm.sys - When laptop is unplugged


    Hello,I have a fairly new HP victus with a 3060 NVIDIA GPU. Up until recently, I have had no issues at all and everything works smooth. Last week I suddenly experienced blue screens and crashing with the following error: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, nvlddmkm.sysThis only happens when my laptop is unplugged, when my laptop is plugged everything works as normal. I also have no problems running graphically heavy programs with the videocard as long as the laptop is plugged, so I don't think it is a hardware problem.Any help is much appreciated!

    BSOD Video TDR Failure


    She probably needs to do a video driver update. Get her to go to the manufacturers website for her graphics card and update her graphics card drivers.

    Blue Screen - Video TDR Failure

    Hello

    I have had 2 blue screen system failures this morning. Both of them with the message Video TDR Failure. The message advised me to contact support and quote igdkmd64.sys.

    The system was installing Windows Updates at the time so that is my prime suspicion. The update that was successfully installed was Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics. It appears twice at the top of the list of updates for some reason.
