    So I posted a thread asking for help with a PS script, and then I realized that it's time for me to actually learn PS.

    I'm no stranger to scripting. Back in the 1970s, I used to write "procedures" in IBM mainframe JCL. In the 80s, I worked for a UNIX workstation company and wrote scripts in cshell. (Of course, I was surrounded by really smart UNIX gurus. That helped. *Smile) I also did programming in FORTRAN and other procedural languages.

    And I do know DOS bat/cmd scripting pretty well. But when I look at PS, my eyes kind of roll back in my head. What I need is the one message posting or one web page that says, in effect, "here is how to get started with PS if all you know is DOS cmds." Any suggestions?

    That way, I'll never go hungry for dinner. Teach a man to fish (code in PowerShell) and ... :) Teach a man to fish (code in PowerShell) and ... :)
