Windows 10: Teams 7-10 second audio/video drops

I have been experiencing 7-10 second audio/video drops when using Teams. The video freezes, and the audio drops altogether. This happens frequently. 15-20 times daily. When it occurs the ethernet values in Task Manager drop to zero. It does not appear to happen in other programs... youtube, zoom etc...


I have done the following in an attempt to resolve the issue:

• Checked and upgraded any drivers ethernet, video, audio, etc... and system Bios
• Re-installed/upgraded the docking station firmware
• Re-installed Teams
• Purged the Teams Cache
• I have experienced the problem using both a wired and Wifi connection

The problem started around 3 weeks ago, and was not an issue before then. It seems to roughly coincide with a 02/28 windows update Windows 10 Enterprise 64-Bit, 1909 Build 10.0.18363. I am running out of things to try. Any feedback?


System is a Dell Latitude 7490

16 GB Ram

Audio out of sync in video Windows 10

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you facing this issue with particular video file or all the video files?
  
• Did you make any changes prior to this issue?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving this issue.

Note: The steps mentioned below are applicable to Windows Media player only.

Make sure “Drop frames to keep audio and video synchronized”

1. Open Windows Media Player.

2. Click on Tools and then on Options

3. Switch to Performance tab.

4. Ensure that a check is next to the "Drop frames to keep audio and video synchronized" and "Turn on DirectX Video Acceleration for WMV files" options.

5. Click "Apply" and click "OK."

Restart Windows Media Player and open a video file. Ensure that the audio and video are in sync.

Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.

 

Audio part of the video is not saving on Windows 10.

• Step forgotten while creating the video.
