Windows 10: Teams will only open with an old hotmail that is no longer an alias and has been deleted.

Hi,I have a Microsoft account that I set up using my personal hotmail details. I added a Gmail account that I use for work as an alias. I changed my Gmail to primary and deleted the hotmail account and in doing so completely deleted it. The issue I am now facing is with Teams primarily- even though I use my primary alias to log in and it shows the account details, the calendar is my old deleted hotmail or rather an outlook address Microsoft created when I deleted the hotmail. I appreciate Teams might want to connect to an outlook account, but:- When I open Outlook in the Microsoft 365 Ap

Hi ! Is there any way even tricky to fully delete older hotmail accounts?

You can verify whether your hotmail is still alive in MS account, it should be listed as an alias.

If there isn't one you should be able to know whether you still receive email from hotmail into outlook inbox?
Or at least log in to some site registered with your hotmail email. and then see if you can verify you email and watching for inbox in outlook.

 

Removed @hotmail alias

Hello,

I wanted to remove alias from my Microsoft account. I didn't want my private @hotmail account to be bound with my Microsoft account that I use at work. As found on the web I have added my other, @gmail, account as an alias and removed the @hotmail one. But now I can't login to my hotmail account anymore. The same happens if I try to re-add my @hotmail alias. Any e-mail that is sent to my @hotmail address is not delivered. Can you please help me with recovery of this account?
